4. Licensed & Insured Professional Movers
Around Town Movers is fully licensed and insured as a local and regional mover, and we can prove it. In the unlikely event that something is damaged, we offer limited liability coverage for your move in the amount of 60 cents per pound, per article, up to $50 per article. This coverage is included with each and every move at no additional charge. Higher limits of liability are available for an additional charge.
If something is damaged during your move, our certified claims adjuster will settle your claim in a timely manner.
How It Works
Your move starts with a call to Around Town Movers, during which we will provide you with an approximate cost for your move. Once we gather more details about your particular job, we will provide an accurate estimate. For most local moves, we charge an affordable hourly rate plus an appropriate travel time/trip charge to complete your moving job.
Since time is money, we work quickly and efficiently to get your things loaded and into your new home. Our hourly rate includes all of your movers and the truck, plus a generous supply of moving equipment to include furniture padding, hand trucks, walk boards and dollies. We use cargo control straps to secure your belongings in the truck to get them safely to your new home.
We also provide floor-protecting rug runners, door jamb protectors, rail padding and a shrink wrap service included with our low hourly rates.
On-Site Customer Supervision
Our rates also include a feature unique to our company: the Around Town Movers Customer Support Vehicle. For most moves that have had an in-home written estimate, you can expect a visit from our Operations Department on the day of your move at no additional charge. We will make sure that your job is going as expected and respond quickly if you need any extra service or supplies.
