The Around Town Mover’s New Year’s resolution was to conduct monthly get together teambuilding training sessions. Today we held the January installment of the Around Town Movers Mid-Winter Training Event. Breakfast was served and we all watched another one of my now-famous PowerPoint training presentations. Basic topics were discussed: What is a Professional Mover? What is an Around Town Mover? What is an Around Town Move? The actual training topic was TV Protection. Around Town Movers provides three levels of TV Protection. The first level of protection is for TV’s up to 50″. For TV’s under 50″ we protect the screen with brown paper padding and corrugated screen protectors. For 50″ to 75″ set we have actual generic TV cartons with Styrofoam corners, anti-static bag screen covers, a large “giant” zip lock bag for the cords, remotes, manuals and other accessories. For TV’s over 75″, we offer all of the goodness that comes with the 50″ to 75″ level of protection in a large wood crate. Most importantly, we reviewed the low-touch handling procedure to keep your TV in good operating condition.
